Well since this was a non-skiing day and waiting for the storm to pass, I decide to go check out what Calgary has to offer in the winter. My first stop was the Glenbow Museum. I spend a couple of hours here and really enjoyed it. Here is an old tractor that was used to farm around the area.
Then I stopped by the Calgary Olympic Park. It was really cool (pardon the pun) and was quite interesting to see the olympics from a non US point of view. If you look close at the following picture, you can see the huge ski jumps.
When I arrived in Banff, I was quite awstruck by the surrounding mountains. Here is the main street though town.
I decided to stay in a youth hostel both for the cost and to meet fellow travelers. The Youth Hostel in Banff was super nice. My roomates where two "Blokes" from England who where doing a bit of snowboarding. We had a fun time swapping stories over a few brews.
